The Kikuyu live in Central Kenya, making up 20% of the total Kenyan population. Their myth of origin does not include Egypt but evidence points in that direction as will be shown in this hub. Before we go into details, here are some signs in the language that indicate this influence. 1. The kikuyu say TENE to mean long ago. There is also a bygone era known as TENE NA AGU. 2. the founder of the tribe was called Gĩkũyũ or TENE. According to Kenyatta in his treatise on the Kikuyu, a grandchild of Gĩkũyũ , was overthrown due to his dictatorship tendencies. 3.
